Mexican HNWIs buy more Real Estate than anyone else.  Mexican HNWIs buy up more real estate than any other national HNWI population, research from WealthInsight has shown. Their nearest rival is Saudi Arabia, whose HNWI population dedicated an average of 30.9% of their asset allocation into real estate in 2015. Mexican HNWI allocation to real estate was a staggering 28.6% higher than the US average. Chile accounted for the highest proportion of HNWI wealth allocated to alternative investments in 2015, while this asset class was the lowest in Mexico. Chile also accounted for the highest proportion of HNWI asset holdings in cash.
